10 Thoughts to Bear in Mind for 2022

The year 2022 is going to be the beginning of countless new chapters. My husband and I will be living together again after 3 years of living in different states. I am beyond blessed to have him as one of my biggest supporters and I am forever in debt for his patience while I earn my degree. I will resume my service in the U.S. Army, but as a Military Intelligence Officer. I’m leaving, but forever cherishing, the Military Police Corps. God knows I thought 2022 would never come, but Ladies and gentlemen, She has arrived.

2021 went by so fast! All I can remember was being happy to be at what looked like the end of the pandemic; 2021 said “Sike! Gotcha!”. We had the insurrection at the start of the year, which was nothing short of embarrassing and disgusting. I wake up and it’s Christmas, then a bunch of days in between that nobody can really remember! Now, I am looking at my final semester of college in the eye. Literally, where did the year go? I may not remember the days, some I don’t mind forgetting, but I absolutely remember the lessons I learned and the moments that made me sit back and reflect; a few complicated ones at that.
